Biofilm Formation and the Effect on Bacterial Cells

Abstract

Biofilm formation is an interesting field of research because they are such a complex matrix of cells. Especially when the pathogen that is forming the biofilm is highly antibiotic resistant. There are many genes that can have an effect on the formation but most of them we don't even know about yet. That is what this lab is working to research at Oklahoma State and their discoveries and research methods are quite exciting.
