Alzheimer’s Disease May Hold the Reigns on Cancer Development

Abstract

: The number one adversary in the medical field is death. Doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals put in excruciating hours to try and prevent this final outcome. The two biggest players in this field especially within the elderly population is cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. While the root cause for both diseases could come from many avenues the most prominent and believed theory for Alzheimer’s is peptides in the brain inducing apoptosis. This cell death may lead to a higher chance of Alzheimer’s Disease and in fact a lower chance of cancer.
