Soil Water Retention and its Effect on Plant Growth

Logan Ozment, Josh Gillen

Abstract

Vermiculite and regular soil was tested to determine the relationship between varying soil types and soil depths along with the effect on radish plant growth. Our experiment showed vermiculite was better than regular soil for the first two weeks, and in the last two weeks the soil depth had a larger impact on water retention for the radishes.
