Effect of Overwatering on Nitrate Absorption in Raphanus sativus

Makayla Carver, Kristin Harry, Eric Smith

Abstract

We predicted that double watering would cause more leaching of nitrate resulting in a deficiency in the plants. We subjected 4 groups of radish plants to different treatments involving nitrates, double watering and single watering. The effect of nitrate leaching did not have any effect on the plant.
