Microreviews in Cell and Molecular Biology was started in Fall 2012 by Wouter D. Hoff as a part of teaching technical writing and rcitical reading of contemporary scientific literature in the area of Cell and Molecular Biology as part of the undergraduate course Micro3033 offered by the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at at Oklahoma State University.
