Abstract

Further developments have been made on the front of treatments based on gut microbiome to assist those struggling with neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Gut microbes have been showing evidence of effecting the physiological and metal health of people for a while. The gut microbiome has been shown to react to neuroprotective agents like Ginsenoside Rg1, not only drawing a further link between the GI tract and the brain but also that neuroprotective agents can have a positive effect on the balancing of GI f1ora.
