Abstract

Our group set out to discover the relationship between CO2 output within a population of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and how relative humidity affects this rate. We created two different environments for our yeast solution. These simulated environments were assembled in biochambers and conditions of lower relative humidity versus a higher relative humidity. The final results rendered a poor correlation between humidity and its effect on yeast fermentation.
