Abstract

For our experiment, we chose to measure the metabolic rates for mice, crickets, and cockroaches. We hypothesized that the metabolic rate of the mice would increase in cold temperature, while the metabolic rate of the crickets and cockroaches would decrease. Endotherms tend to use a lot of energy to keep their body temperature regulated. Our hypothesis was supported and denied in different ways.
