Abstract

Our investigation aims to find the effects of ammonia on water quality. To test if ammonia will decrease dissolved oxygen, different ammonia solution percent were added to water from Dolese Main in Oklahoma City, OK. The main purpose of this experiment is to understand how different percent of ammonia solutions will affect dissolved oxygen. This will then allow researchers to understand how ammonia will affect organisms living in the water. The results of our experiment showed that ammonia does not decrease the amounts of dissolved oxygen; the data suggests that the dissolved oxygen increased over the long term samples taken.
