Effect of Varying Ambient Temperatures on the Respiration Rates of Cockroaches

Abstract


We were testing the respiration rate of the Madagascar hissing cockroaches in different environmental temperatures to test the effect of the environment on ectotherms. We predicted that the rate would increase as the temperature increased, but our data did not show a common trend that followed our hypothesis.
