The effect of temperature on the metabolism of the house cricket, Acheta Domesticus

This scientific experiment was conducted to test the efficiency of metabolic rates of house crickets in a total of 3 different temperatures. We tested the metabolic rate of the crickets in the respiration chamber for 3 minutes each for a total of 5 trials per temperature. Our data showed the metabolic rate was low in high temperatures and even lower in cold temperatures. In the table and from our evidence we drew our conclusions. We found that the most efficient metabolic rate was in the control, or at room temperature. Crickets do best in room temperature but not in hot or cold temperatures.
