How Badger Size Affects Which Environments They Can Survive In

Abstract

This experiment was done to determine whether or not surface area to volume ratios have anything to do with where badgers live and how they adapt. Our experiment aimed to address the problem of why badger subspecies have different characteristics of size and shape due to their regions. We approached this problem by creating an experiment to test if badgers surface area to volume ratio really affects where they live and why. The results that came about from this experiment were that badgers with a higher surface area to volume ratio live in warmer climates than the opposite. We concluded that badgers adapt to their environment by altering their size and shape over time to better suit their environment.
