Dissolving Oxygen

Abstract

There are many factors that could affect the oxygen level of a body of water. We wanted to find out how the temperature of water along with the addition of yeast would affect it. We did this by measuring the dissolved oxygen level of water from different sources using a temperature probe with room temperature water with and without yeast as well as warmer water with and without yeast. We found that there was a much larger difference in the dissolved oxygen level of water over time when yeast was added. Knowing which pollutants affect the oxygen of water could help us to make our water healthier.
