Abstract

We studied the effect of temperature on CO2 output of Crickets. As temperature increases, the crickets will produce more CO2 through respiration. To test our hypothesis, we placed the crickets in a respiration chamber in various temperatures and measured their CO2 output. We discovered that a cricket’s thermoregulation process causes them to produce more CO2 at higher temperatures and less CO2 at lower temperatures.
