Abstract

The purpose of this experiment was to test how salt contamination affects biomass, or algal growth. We wanted to see what level of salinity in water will obstruct algal growth because road salt contamination commonly ends up at bodies of water, and this would determine how the overall environment is affected. To test this, we used 3 experimental groups with 0.04%, 0.08%, and 0.12% of aquarium salt, respectively; additionally there was a control group with no salt. Results. Discussion.
