Abstract

Algae growth in Oklahoma water sources is becoming increasingly prevalent. Algae is a source of biomass that can be utilized to create biofuel, thus providing another energy resource for the world. The experiment tests the rate of algae growth over a three-week period, and the effects of different Urea levels on that growth. The algae growth rate increased with added Urea, showing almost double the growth. The addition of Urea increased the growth rate, which supports the hypothesis.
