Abstract

Scientists are continually researching to fill the gap in knowledge of how male guppies chose a mate. Studies show factors may include coloration, shape, and size. In this study, we ran trials to determine if the gravid spot on female Peocilia reticulates effects mating preferences. Our results showed that the male guppies had no preference in gravid pigmentation and spent approximately the same amount of time in each response zone.
