Consistency and Accuracy of CO2 and O2 Sensors

Abstract

We did this experiment because we doubted the reliability of the CO2 and O2 sensors that we are provided with in lab. To test this experiment we tested a closed container without an animal present. We recorded the CO2 and O2 change. Then we repeated this process with a mouse. We found that the sensors are unreliable at times putting O2 into the atmosphere when an animal is or is not present. We see this as sufficient evidence that the sensors are not as adequately reliable as they are made out to be.
