Abstract

Three groups of Zophobas morio were subjected to two temperature treatments in order to test the hypothesis that there is a positive correlation between ambient temperature and metabolic rate in super worms. Using the weight of each trial group and a CO2 probe, we took measure of a respiration chamber’s CO2 increase in order to evaluate metabolic rate. The data did not support our hypothesis due to significant standard error caused by a large spread in our experimental data.
